Coming up: 15th August - The Pattern Day and the Horticultural Show

        18th August - “The Old Boilers” performed by the Camp Players. The local rewiews have been very          positive. Tickets: €10

Horticultural Show Castlegregory Annual show takes place in the Clubrooms, Strand Street on 14th and 15th August. Entries are invited for the following catagories:

Adults: Home Baking, Flowers and Home Grown vegetables.

            Entry fee to adult section is €3 per item, €10 for 4 items.

Entry for the childrens section is free. This year there is a new category for all amateur photographers-this is in 2 sections-under 18s and over 18s. Entry to this section is free.

All entries must be submitted to the Clubrooms between 2 - 5pm on Tuesday 14th August. Viewing of the exhibition is from 11.30am - 5pm on Wednesday 15th August. We look forward to meeting you at the show. An enjoyable time is guaranteed.

Lending Library:  Do you have any books lying around which you could donate to our lending Library here in the Clubrooms, please feel free to drop them in to the office and we will go through them to check they are suitable… other words no “50 Shades of ……anything unsuitable” please. Some childrens books would be great also.

Castlegregory Country Market - every Sunday 10am-1.30pm.

Bridge - every Monday in the Club Rooms at 7.45pm. All are welcome. If you are a real beginner come at 7pm and we’ll try to give you a hand

The Defibrillator has been moved from Maurice Fitzgeralds Pub and put in a box outside the doors of Spar.

The Community Alert Group: Pendant alarms have been successfully installed for several residents in the community, who are happy with the results. The alarms provide a good measure of security. We are still submitting applications. If you are over 65 and even if you have an alarm that is no longer working you can apply. Please contact the Office: 066 7139422

If there is anyone interested in getting involved with Tidy Towns, call the office 7139422. It is the start of the New Year. Please get involved with your community.

Active Retired Summer Schedule: Every Tuesday 1-4pm Clubrooms-Soup and dessert- Entertainment. Everyone is welcome!

Chiropodist:  will be in the Small Hall on Tuesday 11th September. For house visits contact Michelle, Active Retired on 087 787 1845.

Castlegregory GAA Membership is now due for 2018. Cost €30 for non playing single member and €50 for a couple and can be paid to any committee member.

Old Fire Station is now open as a gym for new members. For more information contact Colm Sills or Seán Spillane on 087 2572662.
