Castlegregory Celtic FC's
The season came to an end last week without ever kicking a ball as Tralee Celtic defeated Castlemaine 3-2 with the last kick of their game to move 7 points clear of us with only 6 available to us. So, despite a hugely encouraging & successful season that saw the team go undefeated at home for the second season straight and only lose 2 away games all season, we were pipped right at the post by Tralee Celtic for promotion & a place in the league final.
A huge thanks from everyone at the club to anyone that helped throughout the year and in particular once again to Johnny Daniels for his huge commitment and input into the team for another season. Here's hoping 2017/18 will bring some silverware!
The Brandon Bay HM/10k: With under 3 weeks to go, preparations are in full swing with t-shirts & medals all having arrived, road signs & posters being put up around the county and online entries almost double where they have been at a similar stage over the past few years. Once again a huge thank you to all the local sponsors & Castlegregory Community Council for helping us make the event a success each year.
Remember, this year a percentage of the monies made will be donated to the local Castlegregory Community Playground fund, so by entering to walk, jog or run you will be supporting both the local soccer club and the playground, so it's a win win! To sign up online simply log onto www.brandonbayhalfmarathon.com
